Elermore Vale Community Centre, helped with the funding for the shed. They own the shed, which the Men’s Shed use to do all their activities in, they also supply all the Utilities, and in return the Men’s Shed Members, mow their lawns and help with community activities from the Community Centre. They also act as a support for the Community Centre activities functions when required. The Men’s Shed at Elermore are very great full to the Community Centre, and they just like us are in need of more volunteers to help keep them going.

The Centre and the Men’s Shed are on Newcastle City Council property and we wish to also thank the City Council for supporting both charities. The Community Centre has many activities going on with it. Her are some of the many things they are helping to support at centre.

  • Community Centre Senior Social Day
  • Art Group and Classes
  • Yoga Exercise Classes
  • Quilting and Sewing Classes
  • Little Angels Play Group
  • Senior Computer Classes

This is not a full list of what the Community Service does, give them a ring Ph (02) 49514651, they are taking bookings for other activities, and are keen to hear from you! We support the Community Centres functions and activities. If they need volunteers, and need extra backup in what ever they are doing, many of our members will step forward and help fill the gap. We mow their lawns and tend to their gardens, this is only a small part of what we do in our community.

The Elermore Vale Community Centre, needs more volunteers, so you have some spare time and would like to get active in your local community, ring or call into the centre of offer to help out.
